Techstra Solutions is looking for a motivated Data Engineer with focus in Relational Database to join our team. This individual will lead the technical design and development of database solutions, working closely with the Tech Manager while maintaining a self-starter mindset and an ownership mentality. The ideal candidate must be familiar with Agile Software Delivery Practices and capable of interfacing with multiple teams to drive data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance database solutions.
Develop and maintain relational database services and components, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
Implement and optimize database programming using SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views in Oracle 12c or later.
Work on full life-cycle development for data-centric applications.
Optimize database performance, including query tuning, AWR reports, partitions, and indexing.
Develop and manage Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions, with a strong preference for Oracle GoldenGate experience.
Design and implement Dimensional Data Models for analytical and transactional systems.
Ensure information security and access control for database systems.
Develop and maintain ETL processes and integrate with related technologies such as Java and Python.
Utilize Unix/Linux scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation and data processing.
Use version control and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Liquibase) for database change management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and best practices.
Troubleshoot complex database-related issues and ensure high availability of services.
Skills & Qualifications:
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
8+ years of experience in database architecture, design, development, and maintenance.
Expertise in Oracle 12c or later with hands-on experience in SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of Dimensional Data Modeling and data-centric applications.
Proficiency in complex SQL creation, optimization, and performance tuning.
Experience with Change Data Capture (CDC), preferably Oracle GoldenGate.
Knowledge of ETL processes, data integration, and programming languages like Java and Python.
Proficiency in Unix/Linux scripting (Bash, Python).
Experience using DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Liquibase) for database change management.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with highly scalable enterprise databases.
Exposure to big data technologies and advanced analytics.
Certification in Oracle, AWS, or relevant database technologies.
