The Leidos AIE team has an opening for a Database Administrator with a SECRET clearance on our Enterprise Data Center Software Applications Team. This opening supports a program that is being deployed to Army installations around the world.
Home base is in Edgewood MD which houses the program team, warehouse operations, system integration lab, 24x7 Help Desk operation, engineering center and full-scale replicas of the system.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing tasks relating to Database Management System (DBMS) applications, including definition, design, structure, documentation, upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, data migration, and protection. Duties may include entering and reviewing data within the database, ensuring user data integrity, maintaining database support tools, database tables and dictionaries, recovery and back-up procedures, and making recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. DBAs are responsible for SQL databases located in the cloud and on-premises instances, and also for database builds and configurations for installations to be fielded.
Primary duties include:
- Develop scripts and migrate data between two different systems that utilize Microsoft SQL server.
- Design, build, configuration, documentation and operational support for SQL databases supporting deployed systems.
- Configuration, development and troubleshooting related to stored procedures and clustering of SQL databases.
- Develop installation process plans and settings for site specific work related to the installations database.
- Work with testing and Help Desk teams to conduct testing of installed systems to ensure proper operation. Perform remedial maintenance and troubleshooting to bring inoperative systems back to an operational state.
- Perform the integration of the system and software as required.
Basic Qualifications
Must possess or be eligible for a Secret clearance. Must have 4-8 years of experience to include experience and knowledge of SQL databases to include configuration, clustering and stored procedures. College degree in engineering, IFSM, or computer networks are desired. Work experience and Microsoft certifications may be substituted for college degree. Current CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
This position is a “hands-on” position requiring access to the Enterprise from our Integration center in Edgewood, MD.
AMAG, Vindicator, Access Control Systems knowledge/experience is a plus.
