The Leidos Spatial Solutions team has an opening for an experienced Database Administrator to work on cloud-based systems across the Aeronautical Domain. The team is involved in operation and sustainment of multiple cloud deployed solutions. A successful candidate will have experience with administration, support, and maintenance of cloud-based databases/Amazon RDS instances within multiple classification environments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Primary responsibilities will involve sustainment and management of multiple mission operational geodatabases of cloud-base systems.
- Utilizing database tools such as PGAdmin to perform daily PG dump and restore procedures.
- Responding to database troubleshooting to support critical 28 day production cycles.
- Performing Database integrity checks, running SQL queries, and managing daily backups.
- Manage a multi-environment cross domain database solution.
- Sync transactional updates across databases ensuring data transfer integrity.
- Research database interactions across multiple system connections.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI Clearance w/ Poly (or ability to pass Poly upon hire)
- BS degree and 4+ of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience in AWS/Cloud technologies
- Extensive hands-on experience in all DBA tasks such as user management, backup and recovery, snapshot creation and deletion.
- Expert level experience in Postgres databases.
- Familiarity with Oracle databases.
- Experience across multiple classification environments.
- Experience in RDS and SQL Technology
- Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and ability to function without direct oversight
- Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.
- Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.

Preferred Qualifications
- An active TS/SCI with a Polygraph
- AWS Solutions Architect Certification
- Experience with IC Cloud Architecture implementation methodologies
- Experience with collaboration tools and administration (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
- Experience as a Database Administrator to include tasks such as data migration, data replication, user administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, issue investigation, issue resolution, and general administration.
- Prior experience with migration projects.
- Prior experience with Postgres database modernization/maintenance/sustainment.
- Prior experience with ESRI products including ArcMap, ArcGIS, and File Geodatabases
- Prior experience with DoD Aeronautical Datasets
- Prior experience with AWS cloud formation templates
- Prior experience with configuration management tools and processes.
- Prior experience with Oracle Spatial or PostGIS.
- Prior experience with JavaScript, Perl, and/or Python scripting.
- Team Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)

Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
