Job Description
We are looking for a Database Administrator who will join our client based in Luxembourg.
Job Overview:
As a Database Administrator (DBA), the consultant will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the company’s databases. They will ensure the security and performance of the databases while providing technical support to internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage databases to ensure availability, security, and performance.
- Implement backup and restoration strategies.
- Monitor and optimize database performance.
- Participate in database migrations, updates, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with the development and infrastructure teams to improve processes.
- Manage user access and permissions for databases.
Qualifications
Required Languages:
- French: Level C1 (Full Professional Proficiency)
- English: Level B2 (Intermediate Professional Proficiency)
Proficiency in these languages is essential to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
Hard Skills:
- Expertise in database management systems: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
- Strong skills in performance tuning and database optimization.
- Experience in backup and data recovery systems.
- Advanced knowledge in database security and access management.
- Familiarity with cloud systems and databases hosted on cloud infrastructures is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to work with various teams.
- Ability to work independently with good organizational skills.
- Team spirit and close collaboration with developers and technical teams.
Experience Level:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role as a Database Administrator.
The consultant must have significant experience managing complex databases and implementing optimized solutions for demanding professional environments.
Mandatory Certifications:
- Certification in database management (e.g., Oracle DBA Certification, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Additional certifications in data security or cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure) are strongly recommended.
Additional Information
Remote Work:
Remote work is allowed depending on the projects and operational needs, but regular on-site presence is required to ensure proper coordination with the team.
