The Opportunity

Trimark is a leading innovator in utility-scale solutions to help electric power resources optimize control, connect to the grid, maximize revenue, and meter energy transactions.  We specialize in state-of-the-art SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and software platforms. As we continue to expand our offerings, we are seeking a talented Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of an exceptional software platform. As the DBA, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the databases of Trimark and our customers.

The Team

You will report to our Senior Director of IT & Security and work with a distributed team of 20-30 software engineers, test engineers, and partner engineers in the US and offshore. 

The Environment

This role can be successfully performed in Office-Based, Home-Based (US only), or Flex-Based work locations.  You will work in a controlled office environment or from your Home-Based worksite, as well as virtually with your team members.

Your Key Contributions

  • Installing and configuring database software.
  • Creating and managing database users and roles.
  • Monitoring database performance and tuning them for optimal performance.
  • Ensuring data security and integrity.
  • Backing up and restoring databases in case of data loss or corruption.
  • Developing and maintaining database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary.
  • Collaborating with developers to design, develop, and implement new database applications.
  • Troubleshooting database issues and providing technical support to users.

Traits for Success

  • Proficient in the usage of PostgreSQL, Timescale and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server administration.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills to work effectively with developers, management, and other stakeholders.

Pay Transparency

This announcement is open to Senior job levels.  The base pay range for this position is $120,000-$148,000/year, with starting salary typically in the low to mid-range for the job level.  This is an overtime exempt position.  Compensation is based on market rate, job level, job related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and certifications.  This is a Full Time opportunity.
