Position OverviewAmatriot is seeking a Database Administrator for its USAF HQ ACC contract at Langley AFB, VA. The role maintains database infrastructure and data repositories for USAF Tactical Data Link (TDL) Interoperability Enhancement Tools, including database maintenance and configuration management.
Location: Langley AFB, Hampton, VA, USA.
Key ResponsibilitiesDatabase Interoperability and Data Management-
Provide technical expertise to support interoperability of USAF databases with the Joint Interoperability Enhancement Process (IEP).

Support development of rules governing direct access to and use of USAF Interoperability Enhancement Tool databases.

Develop data-sharing schemas for data contained in these databases.

Provide operational and technical assistance to install and configure system-specific server hardware and software, including:

Oracle 12c/18c/19c.
-
Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2016/2019.
-
Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019.

Install Microsoft Windows Server security patches and perform software and firmware updates as required to supplement automated updates.

Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems requiring maintenance on USAF Interoperability Enhancement Tools.

Apply Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to USAF Interoperability Enhancement Tool databases and servers.
Candidates must meet one of the following two qualification pathways. [Required]
Qualification Pathway 1 — Education and Experience-
Associate degree in a technical field, such as engineering, computer science, or information systems management. [Required]

Three (3) years of experience within the last 10 years with SQL, relational database management systems (RDBMS), metadata/data modeling, XML, XML Schema (XSD), Web Services Description Language (WSDL), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Unified Modeling Language (UML), and XQuery. [Required]

Two (2) years of experience within the last 10 years with Microsoft SQL Server and implementing STIGs. [Required]

Three (3) years of experience within the last 10 years administering Microsoft Server 2016/2019 operating systems. [Required]

Five (5) years of experience within the last 10 years with SQL, RDBMS, metadata/data modeling, XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP, UML, and XQuery. [Required]

Five (5) years of demonstrated technical experience within the past 10 years organizing and managing comprehensive database projects and all applicable data. [Required]

Two (2) years of experience within the past 7 years with Microsoft SQL Server. [Required]

Five (5) years of experience within the last 10 years administering Microsoft Server 2016/2019 operating systems. [Required]

Secret clearance under either qualification pathway. [Required]

Core hours are 0800–1700, Monday–Friday; hours can be set with customer leadership.

Time may be flexed during the two-week pay cycle to avoid using PTO for appointments.

A compressed work schedule, such as 4/10 or 9/80, may be available at work center leadership’s discretion.
Skills Required

- Five years of demonstrated technical experience organizing and managing comprehensive database projects and applicable data, under the experience pathway
- Two years within the past seven years with Microsoft SQL Server, under the experience pathway
- Five years within the last 10 years administering Microsoft Server 2016/2019 operating systems, under the experience pathway
- Active Secret clearance or higher
