Job Description
As ServiceNow continues its unprecedented growth, the company seeks to further establish its data and advanced analytics foundation and capabilities. We are building a mathematical enterprise for ServiceNow, leveraging all the data signals across the enterprise to guide business decisions. The Staff Insights Analyst will be a part of our Product Analytics team, and a key technical contributor to the insights we provide to the product stakeholders. This role will be engaged in the technical model development, production model deployment, and insight creation of our product space.
This role is a hybrid of traditional roles in data science, strategy, business/customer analysis, research, engineering and data visualization - requiring a mix of strategic thinking, analytics and data management, and business operations skills. This position will be reporting to the Senior Director, Product Analytics.
What you get to do in this role:
- Proactively uncover trends and anomalies, understand relationships and develop actionable insights from analysis that will drive business decisions and actions.
- Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and presentation/visualization of data to see beyond the numbers; transform raw data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Create/ apply standard frameworks to better understand and monitor key business priorities. Contribute solutions to improve monitoring and alert systems for Data and Analytics.
- Partner with key business leaders. Prepare analysis and recommendations for strategic and operational decision-making.
- Collaborate with other analytics and biz ops teams to develop scalable insights packages and stories
- Gather business intelligence data, analyze data, and develop interactive data visualizations that enable business insights; work with business stakeholders to tease out the best stories to tell from a given dataset
- Build scalable analytical framework to monitor data quality and other key use cases supporting analytics organization (Sales Analytics, Finance Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Product, and Talent Analytics)
- Develop quantitative models to help predict outcomes and assess causation and correlation (causal modeling experience is a plus)
- Develop quick utility dashboards and reports to help accelerate and scale insights delivery
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business, or analytical field
- Proficiency in PPT, Excel (Candidate may need to respond to time sensitive requests that involve doing deep data analysis using excel)
- 8+ years of SQL experience and delivering data driven insights complex data processes
- Hands on experience working with Snowflake, Python
- Deep experience in data visualization and reporting using open-source libraries/packages and third-party tools (Tableau, PowerBI or similar)
- Statistical background - hands on model development using regression, decision trees, ARIMA, etc. (Required)
- Experience with machine learning especially in data products
For positions in California (outside of the Bay Area), we offer a base pay of ($123,750-$216,450), plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location. For individuals who will be working in the Bay Area, there is a pay enhancement for positions located in that geographical area; please contact your recruiter for additional information.
