The Hartford is looking to hiring a Senior Data Modeler to join our Group Benefits Data Delivery organization. This role will work within our Agile Scrum teams to unlock Data Capabilities for The Hartford's Enterprise Data organization in IT to support Group Benefits of Business initiatives.

You will have an opportunity to participate in the entire software development lifecycle process in support of continuous data delivery, while growing your knowledge with emerging technologies. We use the latest data technologies, software engineering practices, Agile delivery framework, and are passionate about technology and building well architected and innovative solutions that drive optimal business value generation.

Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data modeling/engineering, data design and analytics. Proficiency in data modeling, SQL, ETL, performance tuning, production engineering, job scheduling, continuous deployment and operations support
  • Experience with modeling tools like Erwin. Experience with ETL tools like Talend or Informatica is a plus.
  • Preferred experience in service designing with tools like enterprise architect.
  • Preferred experience in PL/SQL and use of databases such as Snowflake, Oracle and SQL Server;
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies with a preference of Scrum and/or SAFe a strong preference.
  • Delivery experience including full lifecycle from conception to successful implementation.
  • Able to work independently and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Experience with Insurance domain


Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$108,480 - $162,720
