The Client Strategies Group Business Architecture team is the bridge between the strategies developed by business segments and functional capabilities and the deliver-capabilities of the firm. We are a "shared services " organization partnering horizontally across the Develop-side capabilities. We do this by:

  • Leading the delivery of strategic client initiativesand programsthat transformdesirabilityintofeasibility, viability, and execution.
  • Driving risk-optimized decisions and mindsetsthat empower business leaders to own, identify,measure, respond to and provide insights on risk.
  • Stewarding and analyzing investor and portfoliodata to inform decision-making and serve clientsin a more predictive and personalized way.


The Data & BI Analystwill support Business Architecture and the ongoing ideation, creation and development (partnering with Digital, Data, CSG Risk, Investment Advisory, Advice & Guidance, and FAN) of advice delivery analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop FA Book analysis for Equitys and Mutual Funds to encourage branch/client analysis
  • Next best action across the dimensions of portfolio, product, service and advice
  • Advisor and client segmentation to inform product and service creation and delivery
  • Support analytic activities and function
  • Deliver analytics on CSG's risk profile
  • Execute model validations
  • Perform activities that the CSG Analytic Spoke is taking ownership from FAN including: CSG Dashboard, CSG Reporting, CSG Strategic measures, Client portion of Firm Strategic measures
  • Provide analytical support for the Aladdin Wealth implementation
  • Support the evolution of advice (Advice 2.0) for FBS, CBS and CAN
  • Support the implementation of IPC guidance (CMAs, SAA, OAA, other guidance)
  • Understand and document use of third-party tools offered by Strategic Partners
  • Provide analytical support for tax optimized portfolios
  • Partner with DPM to ensure that the analytical tools offered to advisors and clients are delivering the best advice
  • Gather analytic requirements and document use cases
  • Work with Digital Analytic Portfolio team to build out Analytic Hub data

Qualifications
Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree required with an emphasis in business, economics, math, engineering or analytics preferred (or relevant work experience).
  • Advanced degree or certification preferred.
  • Series 7required or attainable within 12 months of hire

Years Work Experience:5+ years with at least 4 years analytic experience

Functional/Technical Qualifications:

  • Proficiency interacting with various database and file storage systems (Examples: Oracle, Hadoop, NoSQL). Understanding of join types.
  • Intermediate experience with data manipulation languages, such as SQL, required.
  • Understanding of statistical concepts and analytic techniques, including descriptive statistics, forecasting, economic modeling, various regression techniques, machine learning, exploratory analysis, and variance analysis techniques.
  • Ability to determine if particular analytic problem requires capabilities that don't reside in the division.
  • Ability to use special statistical software for appropriate use cases.
  • Understanding of captial markets and portfolio modeling/construction
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, including use of pivot tables, formulas, macros, vba, charts/graphs.
  • Proficient with visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBi, or QlikView.
  • Salesforce knowledge and experience, including Tableau CRM.
  • Strong analytical, critical and systems thinking required.
  • Ability to research industry best practices and apply to work.
