The role of the Sr. Business Systems Analyst is to enhance Optum Financial Services value proposition by executing on key market digital product solution strategies driving acquisition, improvement and adoption of products. Utilize voice of customer, key market, demographic, regulatory/security and industry data to assist in the prioritization and execution of interactive capabilities. Owns the execution of the Financial Services digital product leveraging multiple product and IT methodologies (e.g. Agile, Customer Insights, product lifecycle management).
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with Product Managers to determine appropriate digital touch points for customers
  • Support roadmap development for digital and back-end capabilities and produce necessary artifacts - solution development thru UAT
  • Gather and document business requirements.
  • Work with IT developers and SAs to determine feasibility and implementation of business needs (e.g. feature/function, modality, etc).
  • Coordinate day to day digital release schedules with Release team including defect/issue resolution and project management process for our secure sites
  • Manage and coordinate site content inventory
  • Develop strong understanding of the project life cycle including Agile methodology
  • Effectively coordinate and communicate program/operational progress, status and issues with key stakeholders including peers, partners and leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in business, marketing, finance or other business-related field
  • 5+ years product management experience, including financial analysis and/or market segment role, execution and evaluation of product/program
  • 3+ years of broad knowledge of digital development including mobile applications
  • 3+ years of broad knowledge of API development
  • 2+ years of broad knowledge of health accounts and/or financial industry when appropriate for specific job

  • Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a diverse team and demonstrate a track record of meeting rapid pace, demanding, sophisticated client needs.
  • Ability to work effectively with mid to top level internal and external stakeholders.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
