What you will do:

This role will support the Agile PDG Project Team on the release to market of all new product initiatives. This role will research, collect, and analyze our organization's data and business processes to lead continuous improvements between the integration of our systems and new products. This Business Analyst will ensure, via research and analysis that project requirements are continuously aligned to our company's ongoing initiatives or process changes. The primary duty of this role includes researching business processes, making reports with recommendations to PDG leadership and present the potential impact of their recommendations.

Responsibilities:

Scrum Master and Agile Team Supporting Role

  • Acting Scrum Master for PDG Agile team by monitoring and reminding best Agile practices are being followed by the Project Teams.
  • Create Epics, Stories, and open tickets within our JIRA platform in order to manage and keep track of all projects and/or issues.
  • Monitor defects to ensure project remains on schedule and within acceptable quality level for product soft launch.
  • Create user stories in JIRA according to product and special project requirements using Agile methodology
  • Follow up on open issues and analyze critical path of project tasks.
  • Participate in regular sprint planning and PI planning, while also working together with Scrum Master to define Epics, Stories, and tasks.
  • Create and optimize workflows, write requirements, use cases and test cases for our PDG projects.



Research & Analysis and Risk Assessment

  • Research and analyze the existing business structure on an on-going basis to understand how it operates and determine their objectives to identify potential project requirements and associated risks with the existing business model.
  • Research and design for potential solutions based on the findings reported during the research and gathering phase.
  • Report findings with recommendations and comprehensive risk and impact assessment to PDG leadership.
  • Analyze and align end to end test cases with the product specifications and project requirements during and post implementation.
  • Interview Business Owners to document existing high-level processes and define best method of communication with each area.
  • Analyze gathered data from Business Owners to identify potential project requirements and risks.
  • Review existing processes both, internal and external to identify potential systems, and process improvements that will benefit the Product Development Life Cycle and/or the customers' experience when interacting with our new products.
  • Inform the Product Team during the PDG Portfolio meetings to bring awareness of new company initiatives, system changes or production issues impacting products.



PDG SOP - Product Launch Process: Analysis, Reporting and Monitoring

  • Consolidate and restructure all existing SDLC documentation to represent detailed and accurate documentation of the system.
  • Responsible for hosting meetings with Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts to elicit requirement gathering and translate them into specs/process flows using Visio for business and developers to comprehend.
  • Structure and author the SOP to store all project files, requirements, and artifacts into one consolidated place in JIRA/Confluence.
  • Maintain detailed PDG's Standard Operational Procedures (SOP).
  • Carrying out knowledge transfer and training sessions following PDG's SOP.
  • Review previous month's happenings and present retrospect analysis to lead on-going collaboration and encourage learning within the PDG Project Team.
  • Overseeing quality during and post implementation by developing and carrying out checklists.
  • Carry out periodic reviews and quality check throughput the products lifecycle for continuous systems and process improvements.
  • Create Business Requirements and Project Definition Documents for distribution & request feedback from Business Owners.
  • Maintain Project Definition Documents up to date and recorded based on changes that occur during and post project's implementation.
  • Gather and document project risks and impact analysis.
  • Attend and support PDG Agile team ceremonies and backlog prioritization process.
  • Create all process flows required to support new products selected.



Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required. Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or technical majors preferred.
  • 5 years previous experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
  • Experience in gathering requirements, system analysis, leading initiatives and presenting recommendation using visual and technical format.
  • Moderate experience with Excel and Visio
  • Moderate to Advanced experience with JIRA and Clarity Project Management tools.
  • Experience with Oracle Financials - Preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication
