Our mission at Databricks is to radically simplify the whole data lifecycle from ingestion to ETL, BI, and all the way up to ML/AI with a unified platform. To achieve this goal, we believe the data warehouse architecture as we know it today will be replaced by a new architectural pattern, Lakehouse, open platforms that unify data warehousing and advanced analytics. The Sales Ops Data Engineer will help us leverage the Lakehouse architecture for our own go-to-market data.

You will collaborate with the sales analytics team to build clean datasets in Databricks and publish them on Tableau Online for analysis. You will identify and troubleshoot data outages and inconsistencies of sales owned data. Understanding the sales technology stack and how the data flows between systems (Salesforce, Xactly, 6sense, etc.) is crucial. You have experience writing ETLs, communicating technical requirements to the business, and understanding basic sales business logic. The Data Engineer will become an expert on using the Databricks platform for sales data and AI purposes.

The impact you will have:

  • Identify data needs for the sales team and understand the requirements for analysis.
  • Develop and optimize the efficiency of sales data sets, pipelines, and published data sources through Databricks.
  • Building new and maintaining existing ETLs that in turn are critical to driving Databricks’ growth.
  • Identify and develop multiple new data integrations and pipelines to support the growing sales technology ecosystem.
  • Facilitate data integration and transformation requirements for moving data between sales applications to enable deeper, more holistic analysis.
  • Keep the sales and sales ops team aware of data outages and issues through building alerting systems, while diagnosing and resolving issues.
  • Provide guidance on sales technology stack to ensure data availability and integration.

What we look for:

  • 2+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer with B2B marketing or sales data.
  • 2+ years experience with Python and SQL.
  • Knowledge of essential marketing or sales tech stack data including Salesforce data
  • Experience with Databricks or a related platform.
  • A passion for database systems, language design, or performance optimization

  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision

  • 401(k) Plan

  • Equity awards

  • Flexible time off

  • Paid parental leave

  • Family Planning

  • Gym reimbursement

  • Annual personal development fund
