The Senior Test Analyst is primarily responsible for managing, documenting, and executing manual and automated test cases to ensure that all enterprise applications meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. The Senior Test Analyst will be expected to assist in production releases and verification.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with developers, test team members and business subject matter experts to design test scenarios and test cases based on requirements and technical designs
  • Create and execute manual and automated test cases to verify the functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of software applications
  • Report detailed test results
  • Enter and manage defects in Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Coordinate and execute testing across multiple testing phases, including System Integration testing, Database Testing and Regression testing
  • Define complex data sets to drive and track test cases resulting in measurable and repeatable test results
  • Communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written forms
  • Interact professionally with a diverse group of developers, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Control and manage daily test activities• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Write SQL queries



Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):

  • College degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years software testing experience on the following platforms
    • C#
    • .NET Framework
    • Web testing
    • Content Management Systems (e.g. Sitecore)
    • Web Services
  • Experience using:
    • MSSQL Databases - including creating and executing queries
    • HTML, XML & XSLT
    • Change Management
    • IIS 6.0+
    • Team Foundation Server (TFS)


Optional but preferred:

  • Testing Automation Software (HP Unified Functional Testing/QTP preferred)
  • Testing Certification such as ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA or CSQE
  • Knowledge of SQL Reporting Services
  • Database Reporting Services
  • Agile Development Methodology
  • Image Management Systems
  • Basic understanding of databases and data warehousing
  • Strong understanding of QA concepts and SDLC methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and on multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to work within deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast paced often high-pressure environment
  • Adaptable, flexible, patient, and professional even under tense situations
  • Ability to act and expand knowledge base
  • Ability to learn new things quickly and prioritize work
  • Some evenings and/or weekend work may be required
