Are you up to the challenge?

• Use your boundless curiosity and creativity to build innovative solutions using your experience with Data Warehouse architecture and Business Intelligence tools
• Showcase your software development skills to build high-quality software products and associated test suites using PL/SQL Tableau and Business Objects
• Use your first-rate organization and communication skills to manage and report on your progress.

• Use and expand your knowledge of existing development languages IDEs and methodologies to cover and enrich the extensive collection of PL/SQL code and reports used at Intelsat. You will be managing customers and projects using Data Warehouse components Tableau and Business Object reports
• Directly work with subject matter experts and business owners to capture requirements and develop user stories
• Use your development skills to participate in Sprint planning daily standups peer reviews and retrospective meetings

Can you drive these processes?

• Participate in requirements analysis architectural and detail design coding implementation testing and maintenance for highly integrated complex information systems

• Collaborate with business owners and other developers on the various software implementation tasks
• Identify resolve or escalate systems software and hardware issues work with vendor's support team to resolve issues
• Lead planning and scheduling of project tasks using agile methodology
• Lead project deployment related activities
• Resolve technical issues and monitor progress against schedule; produce appropriate specifications and support documentation for applications in development

You should definitely have:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
• At least 5 years of professional experience working with Data Warehouse or Data Marts
• Proficient with:

• Data transformation

• Data Analytics
• PL/SQL development
• Reverse engineer code and make modifications

• Knowledge of big data Redshift and Kafka
• The capability to express ideas clearly both in written and oral communications

• Strong ability and desire to quickly learn new technologies
• Understanding of the full lifecycle development process including understanding business and functional requirements
• Strong organizational skills with a willingness to work with others to foster a team spirit
• Proven track record on delivery.

It would be nice if you had:

• Master of Science degree in Information Systems
• Additional years of the relevant experience as stated above
• Understanding of and experience with:

• Data Warehouse architecture
• Tableau Business Objects development

• NoSQL databases
• Kafka API
• Data testing

• Knowledge of Ground and Satellite commanding systems including NSA encryption
• A broad knowledge of telecommunication systems
