The Red Hat Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team is looking for a Senior Portfolio and Demand Analyst to join us. In this position, you will apply project and program management best practices to support all aspects of the EDA initiative portfolio management efforts, including initiative justification and value, status and detailed reporting, closeout, and strategic alignment and staffing allocation throughout the initiative life cycle. You will implement continuous improvement to EDA processes and behaviors to ensure an efficient, effective, and transparent operating model. As a Senior Portfolio and Demand Analyst, you will measure and communicate the health and performance of each initiative in the portfolio in context of schedule, cost, resource allocation, and value. You will need interpersonal and organizational skills to motivate portfolio initiative owners to define, capture, and maintain the critical initiative data used by EDA leadership. You will facilitate collaboration with stakeholders to manage performance and value metrics, report status, progress, and trending of the entire initiative portfolio assisting the governance process for planning, managing, and prioritizing initiatives. To be successful in this role, you should have great communication, planning, and finalizing skills. This role is part of EDA's Acceleration and Strategy team and reports to the strategic business operations manager. What you will do

  • Apply practices to support portfolio and demand management strategy
  • Facilitate request intake and discovery processes for demand management
  • Coordinate all reports and documentation that support the review and prioritization of active and new initiatives
  • Lead and motivate a virtual team of subject matter experts to effectively communicate current and forecasted status of initiatives and plan the best next steps to ensure targeted success
  • Proactively manage expectations and communicate risks to internal stakeholders
  • Plan, prepare, and facilitate various reviews with EDA leadership, to review and assess the portfolio
  • Manage efficient and effective automation and integrations of tools to communicate accomplishments, progress, issues, and risks, e.g., ServiceNow IT Business Management (ITBM), JIRA, etc.
  • Provide consistent and timely portfolio data to provide reporting to enable data-driven decisions for portfolio planning
  • Resolve and mitigate portfolio reporting issues
  • Create and maintain required portfolio documentation and artifacts
  • Manage continuous improvement on processes, reviews, and tooling

The following are considered a plus:

  • Project management and agile experience
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITBM portfolio management
  • Experience with strategic roadmapping
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) qualification
  • Agile Scrum Master certification
  • Experience with Jira
  • Tableau development skills
  • Knowledge of process improvement methods and techniques
