About the job
The Red Hat In-Vehicle Operating System team is looking for an experienced Senior Market Intelligence Manager. In this role, you will help inspire and shape decisions for business, product and go-to-market strategy, and positioning and messaging. You'll research market trends and sizing, technology trends, customer application use cases and product usage, and competitive landscape. You will lead the market intelligence program for automotive, collaborating closely with product management, product marketing, business development, and partner ecosystem teams. You'll develop and deliver customer and market insights using both quantitative and qualitative approaches and third-party vendors for online surveys, focus groups, or in-depth interviews. You'll need to be able to analyze data, visualize and present your findings, and provide actionable insights. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Develop and manage the market intelligence program
  • Perform customer and market research
  • Gather data, perform analysis, and provide actionable insights
  • Devise and evaluate methods for collecting data, including online surveys, questionnaires, and polls
  • Perform online surveys and interviews
  • Analyze and visually present data
  • Provide competitive analysis and enablement content
  • Evaluate and retain agencies and manage agency relationships


What you will bring

  • 5+ years of experience performing market research and competitive analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry and ecosystems
  • Experience working at a software or system company
  • Ability to build quantitative models to help guide business decisions
  • Understanding of technology and its application to solve customer challenges
  • Understanding of research design, e.g., knowing when to use a survey, in-depth interviews, focus groups, or mixed methods
  • Ability to convert complex data and findings into understandable visual reports and provide analysis, consultation, and actionable insights
