FCU - Senior Data Financial Analyst

RELATIONSHIP & SCOPE

The Senior Data Financial Analyst will report to a Manager within the Financial Controls Unit and is a pivotal team member of the Financial Controls Unit. This position will interact with a diverse group of internal personnel including other financial analysts, divisional leadership, account reconciliation owners, and functional staff to interpret financial data, verify and review accuracy and completeness of data utilized within controls, and increase operational performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Control Unit by creating advanced queries to analyze financial data and aid in the performance of quarterly deliverables
  • Perform large data reconciliations to ensure populations are complete and reliable
  • Perform advanced data analytics to validate the quality of completed account reconciliations and manual journal entries, as well as aid in the execution of other key controls
  • Work directly with multiple teams performing review and reconciliation between system data from multiple sources
  • Develop and prepare status reports for Management, internal audit, and external auditors in support of the monthly/quarterly financial controls process



Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educational background in Finance and/or Accounting or job-related Finance and/or Accounting experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, Tableau, etc.) and database platforms such as SQL
  • Mastery of end user applications (e.g., Microsoft products such as Excel/Word/Access)
  • Experience in a PeopleSoft ERP or similar ERP environment
  • Excellent computer skills with an ability to create advanced queries of financial data to automate existing manual processes
  • BlackLine experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with Account Reconciliations preferred but not required
