Job Overview:

Loomis isdeveloping a next-generation data estate to support our rapidly growingbusiness including SQL databases, data streaming, Big Data, and Cloud nativetechnologies. In the Senior Data Architect role, you will be responsibledefining future state data architectures, platforms and integrations that willbring you into contact with a diverse array of stakeholders from each departmentand product development team. You will work with our product development teamsin defining their solution data architectures. In this role you will influencethe definition of our Cloud-centric future state operational and analytic dataarchitectures, ultimately helping us provide our business partners with thedata and analytic tools they need to optimize their grow their operations. Success in the role will be defined by theincumbent's capability to quickly design and build a Loomis data estate thatwill enable us to develop new products and services based upon AdvancedAnalytics, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and Data Science. The position reports to the Vice President ofDigital Architecture.

Requirements:
• Experience in leading data strategy initiativesincluding the architecture of modern cloud-based data platforms withtechnologies such as Big Data/Data Lakes, ETL/ELT, Modern Data Warehouses andAnalytics.
• Accountable for building the data estate we needto implement new products/services that enable Artificial Intelligence/MachineLearning, Data Science and Analytics.
• Experience in architecting and develop applications based upon AI,Cognitive and Data Science technologies such as Azure Machine Learning,Cognitive Services, Text Analytics API, Face API, Computer Vision API, BotService, Azure Notebooks, Anaconda, Experiencein leading data strategy initiatives including the architecture of moderncloud-based data platforms with technologies such as Big Data/Data Lakes,ETL/ELT, Modern Data Warehouses and Analytics. We need the resource tohelp us buildthe foundation we need to implement new products/servicesthat leverage Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Data Science andAnalytics.
• Experience inarchitecting and develop applications based upon AI, Cognitive and Data Sciencetechnologies such as Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, Text AnalyticsAPI, Face API, Computer Vision API, Bot Service, Azure Notebooks, Anaconda,Jupyter, TensorFlow, R, Neural Networks, NLP, NLG, TTS, Watson, etc.,TensorFlow, R, Neural Networks, NLP, NLG, TTS, Watson, etc.
• Accountable for building the BI team and competencieswithin Loomis.
• Accountable for leading data analytics, data warehousingand big data projects.
• Consults toproject teams ensuring alignment with enterprise data architecture standards.
• Define theLoomis enterprise data architecture standards, data models, data platforms anddevelopment processes and tools.
• Creation of descriptive,predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions using Azure Stream Analytics,Azure Analysis Services, Data Lake Analytics, HDInsight, HDP, Spark,Databricks, MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Tez, SSAS, Watson Analytics, SPSS
• Designand configuration of data movement, streaming and transformation (ETL)technologies such as Azure Data Factory, HDF, Nifi, Kafka, Storm, Sqoop, SSIS,LogicApps, Signiant, Aspera, MoveIT, Alteryx, Pentaho, IDQ.
• Enablementof data reuse through Data Catalog/Marketplace, Metadata, Search and Governancetechnologies such as including Azure Data Catalog, Waterline, Apache Atlas,Apacshe Solr, Azure Search, Alteryx Connect, Datawatch Monarch Swarm, CollibraCatalog, Enigma Councourse, Adaptive, Cambridge Semantics, Data Advantage Group(DAG), Global IDs, Alation
• Applicationof Information Architecture in large enterprise through use of industrystandard modeling, mapping, management, metadata, lineage and quality standardsand technologies including IDEF1X, DDL, DML, UML, ER/Studio, ERWin, MDM, IDQ.
• Multi-systemdata Integration using industry standards such as SOA, EAI, BPI and API usingAPI Gateway, iPaaS and ESB technologies such as Apache Knox, Boomi, Mulesoft,Tibco, Axway, Informatica, Workato, Jitterbit, SnapLogic, Apigee.
• Visualizationusing technologies such as PowerBI, Tableau, Spotfire, D3, Spotfire, Qlik
• Developmentof IoT technologies such asIoT Hub, IoT Edge, Event Grid

Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in the strategy and build of data and analytics solutions
• Large scale design, implementation and operations of OLTP, OLAP, DW and NoSQL data storage technologies such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure SQL DW, PostgreSQL, CosmosDB, RedisCache, Azure Data Lake Store, Hadoop, Hive, MongoDB, MySQL, Neo4j, Cassandra, HBase
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading data strategy engagements involving the architecture of modern data platforms with technologies such as Big Data/Data Lakes, ETL/ELT Automations and Cloud

• Experiencewith any of the following: Azure, O365, Azure Stack, Azure AD
• Experiencewith any claims-based authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC), MFA, RBAC, or ABAC
• Knowledgeof cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest,encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, applicationfirewalls, SIEM, etc.
• Experiencewith resilient and highly available mission critical technology components
• Experiencewith multi-geo, multi-tier service design and operations
• Functionalknowledge of programming scripting and data science languages such asJavaScript, PowerShell, Python, Bash, SQL, .NET, Java, PHP, Ruby, PERL, C++, R,etc.
• CI/CDdelivery using code management, configuration management and automation toolssuch as GitHub, VSTS, Ansible, DSC, Puppet, Ambari, Chef, Salt, Jenkins, Maven,etc.
• Applicationof AI, Cognitive and Data Science technologies such as Azure Machine Learning,Cognitive Services, Text Analytics API, Face API, Computer Vision API, BotService, Azure Notebooks, Anaconda, Jupyter, TensorFlow, R, Neural Networks,NLP, NLG, TTS, Watson, etc.
• Deliveryusing modern methodologies especially SAFe Agile, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.

• Excellent communication skills
• Extensive experience with enterprise data architecture for transactional systems, analytical platforms, data integration and large-scale data migration.
• Knowledgeable in multiple data management disciplines such as: Data governance, master data management, data integration, data modeling, SQL and relational database technologies, data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics

• Hasbackground as a Solution Architect in product development
• Respected bya dev organization from an architectural understanding standpoint
