In this Senior Data Analyst position you will be performing critical Data Mapping functions in a large data warehouse environment that services systems and applications across the Citizens enterprise.

Critical to this role you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Identifying where data gaps may exist between internal client needs against available information housed with the warehouse.
• Profiling field level data to identify unexpected content and to confirm source data is as described in bank documentation.
• Accountable for clearly and accurately documenting the mapping for lineage and transformation of record and field data as it migrates between a variety of sources and targets.
• Effectively working and profiling big data sources using SQL across a wide variety of different product "Systems Of Record".
• Providing instruction and ongoing support to technical programming resources to ensure mapping documentation is clear and well understood.
• Providing support to downstream data warehouse users under direction and supervision of peers, business analysts, solution architects and other documentation specialists.
• Identifying and correcting data mapping errors and report them to supervisors
• Resolving data mapping issues by following detailed analysis procedures and consulting directly with source system subject matter experts
• Maintaining meeting notes related to mapping needs, activities and completed work as requested by management
• Comfortable verbally explaining options and your recommendations to peers and superiors.

Qualifications

• 5 years of work experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst in a large data environment preferably with banking experience and knowledge
• 1 or more years of data mapping experience
• Technical Documentation- using MS 365 Suite
• Experience communicating with stakeholders including upstream and downstream SMEs.
• Technical aptitude and working knowledge of Aqua Data Studio SQL generator or comparable query tool to analyze data AWS Cloud Redshift, delimited extract files / tables,
• Strong experience with SQL including writing complex queries in a big data environment.
• Strong analytical and systemic thinking, problem solving skills
• Strong communication (written and verbal), presentation skills to explain examples of unexpected data
• Ability to make forward progress and sound decisions in ambiguous situations
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects to completionand to switch between projects quickly
• Self-Starter comfortable working independently or as part of a team

Education and Certifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Quantitative Analysis, Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics, Preferred Master's Degree in any of above disciplines

Hours per Week: 40 Hours

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
