Job Description As an experienced professional in Business Analysis, you'll shape the technology solutions that drive strategic initiatives across the firm. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you'll interact with colleagues in various lines of businesses to learn about challenges and opportunities, and translate that insight into high-quality solutions. In addition to working with the development team to create new solutions, you'll help optimize existing technology and identify new capabilities. While your role requires deep technological skills - including expertise in everything from data management to functional design - it also hinges on teamwork and leadership. You'll offer clear guidance and feedback to your Business Analysis colleagues, while promoting the values, culture, and brand of JPMorgan Chase & Co.
The Chief Technology Office (CTO) team is currently seeking a Data Analyst to join the team delivering our GetFit Product which is focused on delivering telemetry & modernization roadmaps to drive global technology modernization. One of the key drivers of the CTO org is to effect change across the global technology organization to improve the way in which our 50,000 internal technologists deliver software to our business. With this comes exciting opportunities to partner with tech teams across the globe in all lines of business.
The successful candidate will be a technical data analyst with related experience in software engineering and/or architecture projects within a large-scale organization. The individual must be able to effectively partner and establish relationships across line of business, function and level in order to execute initiatives contributing to the Global Technology Modernization strategy.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of business processes and data analysis, as well as the ability to construct complex data queries and collaborate with colleagues
  • Ability to liaison between lines of business and development teams, translating strategic goals into technology solutions, and vice versa
  • Experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning
  • Understanding of business needs, including how data is used and managed, and functional design
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Strong agile, organizational, data analysis skills and the ability to coordinate multiple parallel work streams across a number of teams
  • Strong analytical skills with a concentration on data flows, data mapping
  • 5+ years of expereince
  • Strong base of core SQL skills as data analysis is a key requirement.
  • Strong base of story writing and acceptance criteria documentation (e.g. Specification by example).
  • Strong understanding of the modern software development processes including Agile, DevOps, Continuous Integration / Continuous Development Practices
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of testing, including automated testing. Specification by Example highly desirable.
  • Ability to articulate complex issues concisely, communicating effectively and comfortably with senior stakeholders
