Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generate analytics for existing value-based contracts to validate attribution, quality performance and financial reconciliations.
  • Determine data visualization requirements, recommend appropriate tools and techniques, create, and maintain data visualization outputs.
  • Report clinical, quality total cost savings initiatives benchmarks, trend analyses, and provider performance monthly to help achieve savings goals.
  • Support routine and ad-hoc value-based contract financial and performance reporting.
  • Report qualitative analysis on product performance of value-based risk model at both provider and payer level dimension reporting.
  • Evaluates and communicates underlying cost drivers, root caused, and financial risk factors impacting shared savings
  • Analyze data to understand source data availability and fit for purpose
  • Maintain value-based reporting business glossary and/or master data to assist content owners and subject matter experts.
  • Analysis, evaluation, report findings of quality improvement and cost reduction capabilities of any new providers or methodologies added to value-based program
  • Works closely with development team to migrate value-based models into technical requirements.
  • Manipulate and generate insights from large payer claims and clinical datasets.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Healthcare, Finance, Business Analytics or related field
  • 5+ years data analysis experience
  • 3+ years Experience in value-based care and impact of VBC on healthcare spend, for both providers and payers using applicable financial risk and nominal standards
  • 3+ years Working knowledge of analysis and reporting on Oncology evidence-based treatments pathways and national quality forum metrics
  • 2+ years Strong data visualizations skills in tools such as Power BI/Tableau
  • 2+ years Experience using data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Power Query or equivalent
  • 3+ years Healthcare industry experience

  • Excellent communication, time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills required

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $87,900 to $156,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
