Job Description

Aviation Week currently has an exciting opportunity in Europe for an ambitious Business Development professional looking to join a world leader in Aerospace & Defense Intelligence. We are an expanding global business, offering an excellent opportunity for a career-driven Sales professional looking to establish a fruitful sales career in a market leading and ever-growing brand.

Our Business Development team members are responsible for driving growth by gaining new subscriptions of our product portfolio of news, data, analysis, forecasting and consulting services.

We are ideally seeking a confident sales professional with a business-related Degree and prior experience in selling directly to the C Suite and senior level management, as well as a proven track record of successful B2B sales and network development.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Establishing sales opportunities within the Aviation Week brand by networking, building relationships, establishing needs, conducting online demonstrations and closing deals.
  • Ability to hunt New Business 
  • Managing and developing our brand awareness as well as your visibility in market by reaching out the prospects and establishing new business opportunities
  • Developing your understanding of Aviation Week Intelligence offerings, our competitors and client’s challenges and needs to enable maximized sales and revenue generation.
  • Working with the support teams and other countries to offer the best solutions to solve the customer challenges

Qualifications

Skills & Abilities

  • Previous experience in B2B sales
  • Proven Business Development Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Business discipline, or equivalent qualification
  • Subscription sales experience would be an advantage but not essential
  • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation and closing skills
  • Highly developed business acumen and the ability to understand the wider issues of the industry
  • The ability to identify new revenue opportunities and maximize product potential
  • Knowledge of the Aerospace & Defense market would be desirable
  • European language skills, especially French and German, would be an advantage
