Requirements Analyst - Austin, Atlanta, Phoenix
Description
We are seeking Requirements Systems Analysts for our Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; and Phoenix, AZ, Innovation Centers.
This is a Hybrid position within our IT Organization. The role will allow employees to work offsite but will also require onsite work based on business needs. The selected candidate will be expected to commute to the innovation center to which they are assigned as their primary GM facility. Relocation may be provided.
As a Analyst you will be accountable for building and maintaining the relationship with the end user (i.e. Business Team/ Customer) for projects of all sizes. You will be responsible for eliciting requirements / user stories and representing them to the Development team throughout the systems development cycle. In this role, you will lead requirements elicitation and documentation for one or more small, medium and large projects with increased complexity. MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project coordination & execution role for Plan and Define as part of the System Development process
- Development and on-going maintenance of business process models, business requirements/user stories (functional and non-functional) and product backlogs
- Partners with end-users to ensure comprehensive user acceptance testing/training plans are developed/executed and application is successfully transitioned to production
- Increased understanding of business issues and data challenges of the business
- Serves as the requirements liaison between the business community and the IT teams
- Coordinates with Business on Problem and Incident Management
- Supports IT Strategy Development
- Identifies organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement
- Assists with coordination & deployment for Change Requests (CRs), which may require evening and/or weekend work, from time to time.
- Holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and cultural behaviors. Models GM behaviors and creates a winning culture.
- Independently facilitates sessions with end users, asking probing questions to elicit business process discussion and capture process flow diagrams
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE:
- In-depth understanding of requirement / business analyst fundamentals
- In-depth understanding of writing & leading Requirements
- In-depth understanding of Agile Methodologies and concepts, such as Iterations, Epics, Features & User Stories
- In-depth understanding of Business Process Modeling
- In-depth understanding of business issues and data challenges of the IT industry as a whole
Additional Description
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years work experience with IT Project execution
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or 4 years related demonstrated in-depth understanding of Business Process fundamentals; including requirements elicitation, stakeholder collaboration, effective and timely communications, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated strength in critical skills such as collaboration, written and oral communications, and analytical capability
- Planning, negotiation, facilitation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives without direct supervision
- Knowledge of IT project management, requirements definition, process definition, testing, and IT strategy and roadmap development
- Understanding in utilizing requirements tools.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
Preferred Requirements:
- 10+ years work experience with IT Project Execution is preferred for Senior level roles
- Some level of previous hands-on Development experience is strongly preferred
- TFS experience preferred
