A Reliability Scientist within GDIA's Reliability Safety Analytics Group of the GDIA Operations Analytics Department will perform a range of reliability modeling and estimation tasks in support of internal business customers, as outlined below.What you will be able to do:
- Failure rate modeling prediction
- Statistical sampling strategies for field risk containment
- Recall decision support spare stock allocation
- Design reliability support (design alternative/improvement evaluation, lab to field reliability correlation, reliability target demonstration [design life confirmation], root cause analysis)
- Warranty data analysis and early detection of emerging reliability concerns
- Statistical warranty forecasting and warranty reserve modeling
Minimum requirements we seek:
- Master's degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, or related field.
- 1+ years' experience in Reliability/ Survival Analysis.
- 1+ years' experience in Repairable system and Recurrence data analysis.
- 1+ years' experience in Machine Learning methods in Reliability Data Analysis.
- 1+ years' experience in Applied Statistical Methods.
Our preferred qualifications:
- Ph. D in Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, or related field.
- Close familiarity with the following software systems: SAS, SAS-JMP, Minitab.
- Experience in Python and PySpark programming to foster into an ecosystem of modules and functions for sophisticated reliability and warranty analytics projects.
- Ability to work across complementary teams in GDIA and global business organizations to drive reliability-related initiatives and handle data pipelines across a variety of projects with the goal of crafting a magnificent user experience for the suite of reliability, warranty and quality tools.
