Job Description
This role will develop analytic solutions across different areas in the consumer bank, primarily for the Community Business Development organization. This organization is aligned to our program to deliver Chase's $30B Racial Equity Commitment in minority communities across the United States by deploying initiatives to build financial health and education across the bank's footprint.
We are looking for an analytical and business-minded Senior Associate with strong visualization & analysis skills. This role will act as a strategic partner to the Community Business Development organization. The role is part of the broader Distribution Strategy and Analysis team and reports to the Executive Director for Business Practices, Racial Equity Commitment, and Community & Business Development.
Job Responsibilities

  • The primary role of this position is to develop scalable and sustainable new analytic capabilities that unlock value and support the Community Business Development organization strategic initiatives
  • Translate business needs into data and analytics requirements
  • Create high quality presentations, reporting and visualizations, leveraging appropriate technology to meet client needs
  • Communicate analytical findings, business implications, and actionable recommendations
  • Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders, tech, and data management teams to deliver targeted solutions
  • Develop a deep understanding of technical systems, data, and business processes; ensuring consistent application of firmwide data governance and controls
  • Become a subject matter expert on Community Business Development KPIs and act as a point of contact / consultant on this data


Required qualifications

  • BS/BA in an analytical field (e.g., business management, engineering, math, finance, economics, statistics)
  • Strong quantitative, critical thinking, and analytic skills with capacity to listen to stakeholders and recommend the best data points, metrics, or analysis to satisfy business questions
  • 2+ years of professional experience in an analytical/strategic role (e.g. reporting/data mining, technology, analytics or finance)
  • Experience with modern data science, analytics, and reporting tools (e.g., Python, R, Hadoop, Spark, ESRI, SAS, SQL)
  • Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to find data solutions to respond to business needs
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable creating summaries and recommendations to present to stakeholders, with ability to influence multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship management skills and ability to navigate a large, complex organization


Preferred qualifications

  • MS degree in an analytical field (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Physics, and Data Science) or MBA or extensive track record as a analytics practitioner desirable
  • Tableau (or other visualization experience) and Alteryx (or other workflow management experience) are desirable
  • Prior financial services experience preferred
