Responsibilities of the position are the following:
  • Define data and data reporting requirements based upon customer requests
  • Define and implement system/software architectures utilizing leading edge platforms and methodologies
  • Design, develop, document, test and maintain analysis applications
  • Implement continual software improvements to improve stability, efficiency and overall user experience from the data environments
  • Train users on the usage of new and existing applications

Successful candidates should have the following qualifications:
  • Experience developing scripts and tools to retrieve information from a wide variety of data sources.
  • Experience developing with object oriented programming (Python, Java, C++, C#)
  • A thorough knowledge of interpreted programming languages. (Python)
  • A working knowledge of database design, management, and utilization with structured and unstructured databases
  • Practical work experience leveraging SQL, Hive, and Spark technologies in Big Data environments

Successful candidates should also have the following qualities and characteristics :
  • A self-motivated and enthusiastic team member
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good multitasking and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Other desirable skills:
  • Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) Infrastructure Experience
  • Software testing methodologies and debugging tools
  • Statistical analysis concepts
  • High performance computing concepts
  • A basic understanding of CMOS manufacturing and/or NAND flash memory

  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Machine Learning
  • 5+ years in "Big Data" environment, either on the software teams or infrastructure teams
