Summary

The Product Data Analytics Lead will play a critical and strategic role in the growth of a Marketplace product vertical (e.g., All Access, On Demand, Technology Services, etc.) by developing analyses and recommendations to help the team make better data driven decisions, designing experiments to increase engagement and retention, leveraging data findings in communications both within the Marketplace team and across the organization, operationalizing pilot programs inclusive of manual processes, goal setting and performance measurement, and identifying and quantifying opportunities for future product improvements. This individual should have 2-3 years of experience ideally working in product or quantitative analytics and have both hard and soft skills, facility with data analytics, and a track record of cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

The Product Analytics Specialist will help drive activities relating to:

Managing user and performance data

● Capture, monitor and report on user data to:

  • Understand user journeys end to end
  • Improve business forecasting for existing/new products & markets

● Listen to our users and iterate on our product

  • Identify high-potential areas to improve the member experience

  • Develop and execute tests to validate our hypotheses

Ensuring we are aligned and building smartly

● Develop and monitor key performance indicators

● Build and refine dashboards to track performance

● Use data to drive product and user insights

● Help compose, implement, and prioritize KPIs

● Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products

● Serve as a cross-functional resource between (but not limited to):

  • Marketing

  • Technology

  • Sales

  • Community and operations

Core Skill Set / Requirements

● 2-3 years of experience working in a product or quantitative analytics role

● Process-oriented; comfortable with managing and working on various work streams across different parts of the organization

● Experience with SQL

● Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker and/or Amplitude preferred)

● Mastery of Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and/or Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

● Ability to push forward and be scrappy - think creatively on how to solve problems and overcome roadblocks / resource constraints

● Ability to work with highly complex datasets and distill key findings and recommendations

● Clear, concise communication in various mediums (e.g., presentations, emails, newsletters, etc.), both internal and external, to influence the strategy with data-based recommendations

● Hyper organized and strong project management skill set

● Team player - no task is too big or too small

● Operate at the highest level in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
