OVERVIEW:
As Principal, Enterprise Data Architecture at Skillsoft, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing the data infrastructure for our organization. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the overall data architecture, ensuring that it aligns with the business objectives and supports the efficient and effective use of data across various systems and applications. OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:

Data Strategy and Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement the organization's data strategy and architecture, ensuring data integrity, security, and scalability. Lead MDM initiatives for key Reference Data Domains.

Data Modeling and Design: Design and develop data models, data dictionaries, and database schemas that meet the organization's data requirements, ensuring optimal performance and usability.

Data Integration and ETL: Build robust data integration and ETL processes to facilitate the seamless flow of data between different systems and applications, enabling efficient data processing and analysis.

Data Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend emerging data technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance data management capabilities and drive innovation within the organization.

Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders, providing technical leadership and guidance on data architecture-related matters.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role, designing and implementing data architectures in complex enterprise environments.

In-depth knowledge of data modeling, data integration, and database design principles.

Proficiency in data management technologies, such as relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle), data warehouses, and big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and data privacy principles.

Experience with ETL tools and techniques for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective data solutions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be $157,600 to $225,00 annualized.
We also offer participation in the Company Bonus Program and full benefits. The company may modify salaries, salary ranges and/or Pay Plans from time to time as it deems necessary.
