SWBC is seeking a talented individual to provide customer service and process documents associated with applying, maintaining, and collecting insurance products premium. Assists and supports processes associated with commissions, including inquiries and reconciliations. Responsible for validation of entries and month-end activities.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work with and establish close relationships with the operational business units as you support them through Accounting processes.

Essential duties include the following:

  • Inputs and balances premiums received for insurance products, including reconciling overages and shortages, making corrections, and distributing premium refunds.
  • Supports commissions operations, including setups and preparation of statements and/or reports, and distribution of such reports on a monthly basis.
  • Researches information and provides resolutions to inquiries on premium products, commissions, refund checks, ACH sweeps, etc.
  • Reviews and reconciles general ledger accounts, as required.
  • Prepares journal entries, communicates with internal and external customers, and provides guidance on operations.
  • Performs other duties as required.



Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or four-year university required. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with specific coursework in Accounting preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing similar listed duties required.
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
  • Basic 10-key touch skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to use basic office equipment, including a copy machine, personal computer, and fax.
  • Able to type 40 WPM.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
  • Able to stand and stoop to file for long periods of time.
  • Able to push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.
