Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Manager of Analysis to join our team! As a primary business partner, this role creates value for the organization by providing planning and analysis support to the Building Products division internal customer base and by having overall ownership of the Gypsum division financial reporting and consolidation process. In this role, you will also assist in providing actionable manufacturing/cost analysis, benchmark reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Our team is located at the GP HQ in downtown Atlanta, GA , and has a hybrid schedule of in office and remote work days.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Report, consolidate and analyze monthly results and trends
  • Provide analytical support to our manufacturing sites for trends, financial data and projects (capital/expense)
  • Provide analytical support for systems implementations and upgrades
  • KPI and cost benchmarking/bet tracking and analysis
  • Planning and forecasting ownership
  • Ad hoc analysis
  • Process improvements and standardization of financial communications of metrics and trends reporting
  • Advance the Market-Based Management® (MBM®) culture by applying and reinforcing the company's Guiding Principles


The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field
  • Progressive years of career experience in an accounting, financial analysis, operations finance, financial reporting, or related role(s)
  • Solid understanding of key accounting and financial concepts, cost accounting principles, business drivers and key performance indicators
  • Familiarity with the use of basic variance calculations, NPV, IRR, ROI and other valuation metrics
  • Experience communicating and presenting financial concepts to various audiences in person and via audio and video formats; you are comfortable being seen and heard
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365; with an Intermediate or higher level of MS Excel skills (pivot tables and reporting, working with macros, data manipulation/analysis and formula creation)



What Will Put You Ahead

  • Manufacturing industry experience (building products a plus)
  • Previous roles with heavy ad hoc analysis requirements
  • Experience with data analysis/visualization tools beyond Microsoft Excel (i.e. Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, VBA, Hyperion, SQL, etc.)
  • Process Improvement / Process Transformation / System Implementation experience
