An Insider's view of Cognitive Space

What are some social events your company does?

Since we're a distributed team with staff in TX, CO, MO, VA, and WA we bring the team together once a quarter at our HQ in Houston, TX. The "On-Site" weeks often feature group dinners, bowling, escape rooms, retro arcade visits and other fun activities. We also have an annual company retreat where we plan our next 12 months' strategy and have fun!

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

What used to be a high-touch, human-in-the-loop activity, tasking individual spacecraft by tail number over hours and days is no more. We must now complete dynamic automated tasking of fleets of thousands of spacecraft, both individually and as a holistic system, in mere minutes. AI and ML are key to unlocking this potential.

VP Business Development & Operations

What makes someone successful on your team?

Living our company values is how individuals succeed at Cognitive Space. Our values are:

Seek Excellence
Lead with Grit
Celebrate Victories
Build Trust
Execute Fiercely

Be sure to ask us about these during your interview!

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

Leadership understands that life happens, and that is demonstrated in our flexible hours and unlimited PTO policy. We can take time off as needed to go to doctor's appointments or take care of important tasks outside of work, and taking PTO is not frowned upon. However, with this flexibility comes trust and responsibility.
