Junior Database Administrator/Engineer
Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking a Junior Database Administrator or Engineer to assist our National Intelligence Solutions Department meet mission needs for our government customer. This role will be performed onsite at the assigned customer location.

What you will do
- Work with business and application/solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and manage relational data replication processes
- Work proactively and independently to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges to reduce project delivery risks
- Allocate system storage and plan for future storage requirements
- Create and maintain primary database storage structures
- Create primary database objects (tables, views, indexes) once developers have designed an application and assist developers in the design if required
- Modify the database structure, as needed
- Monitor and optimize the database performance
- Apply database updates and patches
- Migrate databases to new hardware as required
- Write PL/SQL stored procedures and triggers
- Recommend new architectures, designs, and strategies for the future
- Analyze performance and scalability of the database, providing input for architectural enhancements
What you need to have
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS with Polygraph Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines
- 5 years of technical experience in database architecture
