Summary:
Responsible for scheduling plant operations to meet customer order timing while maximizing plant efficiency and meeting inventory goals.
Responsibilities:
• Create Sales and Operations plans to schedule plant operations and meet sales demand forecast.
• Utilize SAP to plan material at the transmission group level to assure availability to meet production schedules and optimize inventory.
• Work with Sales Order Administration on a daily basis to evaluate changes in customer demand.
• Facilitate floor operations and removes barriers for operations to meet measurable objectives.
• Create Final Assembly Schedules to meet customer demand timing.
• Resolve scheduling problems by collecting and analyzing information; coordinating solutions.
Experience:
• Education required: high school diploma or equivalent experience
• Education preferred: College degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or a related field preferred.
• APICS Certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications:
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
• High level of analytical ability where problems are complex required.
• Ability to learn in a fast paced environment required.
• Strong computer skills, especially Excel.
• Minimum of 5 years' related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge / experience with planning and scheduling in an ERP system, preferably SAP.
• Knowledge of scheduling and inventory control systems and manufacturing processes.
