YOUR IMPACT

The Business Intelligence Team is a central platform team at Goldman Sachs that aims to maximize the safe and efficient use of Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities. The team builds tools and provide services to: promote a consistent self-service SDLC across multiple BI tools and Business Units; centralize BI vendor licenses; build robust scalable client server infrastructure and support; consolidation of BI infrastructure management. You'll be a key member of the team that will develop solutions that optimize the use and operation of various BI tools including Tableau, Qlik Sense, QlikView.

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build and maintain solutions to integrate Business Intelligence tools into GS infrastructure.
• Build out self-service tooling for non-Engineers/business users to work with BI tools providing solutions based on modern web technologies.
• Implement solutions for entitlement management and provisioning automation.
• Provide integration to align BI tools to the wider GS Data Engineering strategy.
• Engage with stakeholders from other business areas to define and drive BI strategy.
• The successful candidate will work with a global diverse team of engineers gaining deep knowledge and experience of many disciplines

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of hands on development experience with exposure to the full software development life cycle
• Familiar with design patterns, domain driven design and other software development best practices
• Experience with JavaScript and at least one web application framework (React/Angular)
• Relational database experience (e.g. Sybase, UDB) and/or ORM frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong work ethic, a sense of ownership and urgency
• Excellent communications skills (written & oral) and the ability to work with subject matter experts
• Independent thinker, willing to engage, challenge or learn
• Ability to stay commercially focused and to always push for quantifiable commercial impact
• Strong team player, required to work extensively with other teams both locally and globally

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Familiarity with administration of Business Intelligence domain (Tableau, Qlik Sense, Tableau)
