About the role
This role is responsible for supporting the strategic planning of projects that would drive our business in long run. You will be deeply involved in building up the next-generation of business from the early stage with a data-driven mindset. You will be a key player in exploring new opportunities through integrating internal and external data, supporting or opposing a plan through predictive models, simulation and visualization. You are expected to leverage your experience in statistical modeling, machine learning and storytelling to recommend an optimal execution plan. You will collaborate with specialized project managers and engineers for new projects to learn and grow in a highly agile environment. In this role, you will:
- Use data science to identify opportunities to improve and grow our business
- Partner with business leaders, data scientists, and product managers to incorporate data models and analyses into business processes
- Be willing to learn, grow, and build with a startup mindset that can also operate at scale
The experience you have
- Master's or PhD in quantitative field, such as Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Psychology, or similar discipline.
- 3+ years of work experience in statistical modeling, data mining, machine learning, or related fields.
- Familiarity with programming for data analysis and data visualization; ideally Python, SQL, R, JavaScript.
- Ability to understand business drivers and solve ambiguous and complex problems, with analytical mindset and business judgment.
- Mind toughness to drive analytical projects from inception to delivery.
- You enjoy being scrappy in an agile, high growth startup environment that has newly formed processes and systems.
- High levels of critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and comfort with ambiguity.
- Ability to communicate complex system and topics in a clear and concise manner
