The Role

We are currently looking for a Data Scientist to help Circulo solve for the most pressing health opportunities of the most underserved populations in our country. In this data scientist role, you will partner with engineers and product managers to help design, build, and deploy data products that integrate with our software solutions to impact the lives of our members in meaningful ways and enable delightful, seamless experiences for our providers. You’ll have the opportunity to direct our strategy by designing & implementing a continuous learning system to quantify the impact of our programs and products and fuel the rapid evolution of our business. We are looking for people who are energized by our mission to harness emerging technologies to eliminate friction in the healthcare system and provide better care to the nation’s most underserved populations.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate across teams in a matrix organization on shared deliverables
  • Design, build, and deploy data products that meet key business needs, using statistics, machine learning, and other analytical methods
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate into analytical solutions

Who we are looking for

  • 2-5 years of experience in analytics and AI/ML.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python and familiarity with other statistical programming languages such as R.
  • Strong experience in hypothesis testing and designing experiments to measure the incremental value of business actions / interventions.
  • Experience with methods to estimate causal effects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the development and deployment of machine learning models end to end, including data gathering, feature engineering, model architecture selection, model validation and monitoring, and deployment.
  • Familiarity with techniques to enhance AI/ML interpretability and detect model bias.
  • Experience in a start-up and/or agile work environment, with an ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment, while managing multiple priorities.
  • Past engagement working with internal and external partners and stakeholders, and an ability to maintain collaborative relationships on shared objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience in healthcare is a strong plus.
