Education/Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 2-3 years of additional schooling/related work experience; including a minimum of 2 years revenue cycle experience required
    • Intermediate to Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook
    • Strong data entry experience

Qualifications:

    • In depth knowledge of various charge entry policies and procedures
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; drives execution
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Represents the office/Organization in a positive manner; supports and encourages strong morale and spirit in his/her team.
    • Can marshal resources to complete tasks and orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish goals
    • Ability to solve difficult problems in a timely manner with efficient resolutions
    • Can negotiate skillfully in tough situations; can win consensus without damaging relationships
    • Works well with others; ability to work with and communicate with individuals of varying disciplines.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Creates and distributes department wide communications or pathways, notifying staff of updated processes
    • Identifies and facilitates individual and/or team training needs for new or established team members
    • Participates in meetings with internal departments, Client contact(s) and TES Management, coding, etc. to address areas of concerns or changes to processes
    • Presents data to appropriate parties and partnering to develop resolutions
    • Assist Supervisor and/or Manager to ensure that daily team operations flow smoothly (i.e., assignment of work, manage deadlines, quality assurance and management of scheduling and staffing issues)
    • Participates in daily production assignments that will continue to develop understanding and knowledge of processing guidelines and expectations
    • Other duties as assigned

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

    • Excellent understanding of the charge entry process and workflow
    • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
    • High level of computer literacy
    • Must be organized, detail oriented and possess the ability to multi-task efficiently
    • NOTE: It is expected that incumbents at each level be able to carry out the responsibilities and possess the skills associated with the previous levels.

General Office Demands
Responsible for data entry of material from source documents to a computer-connected terminal. May operate an alphabetical/ numerical keypunch machine. Verifies data and performs clerical tasks in the data processing function. Examines, revises, approves and dispatches input and output materials according to established specifications.
NOTE: It is expected that incumbents at each level be able to carry out the responsibilities and possess the skills associated with the previous levels.
