Job Description J.P. The J.P. Morgan Wealth Management (JPMWM) business is focused on helping investors achieve their long-term financial goals and is comprised of the Chase wealth management business, J.P. Morgan Securities and You Invest - our digital investing platform. The combined business has ~$400 billion in assets under management and ~4,000 advisors who work out of 3,500 branches and 21 offices.
As a Data Engineering Developer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing strategic data platform to support product development of market differentiating capabilities for the JPM Wealth Management business. The position is ideal for an individual who have proven track records in software design and programming, data modeling, Big Data technology and modern engineering practices. You will also have close collaboration with technical partners across the organizations, navigating complexity to provide optimal, scalable, and resilient end to end platform solutions.
Required Skills:
• Strong Java development experience. Python and other programming language are plus
• Development of multi-tier technical platform
• Microservices, Service Oriented Architecture, Publisher/Subscriber and Messaging services
• Big Data technologies - Hadoop/Cloudera/HortonWorks, MapReduce, Spark, Scala
• Big Data querying tools (such as Hive, Beeline)
• Containerization with Kubernetes/Docker
• NoSQL databases (HBase, Cassandra, or MongoDB)
• Shell scripts, Perl. Job Scheduling tools like Autosys/CTRL-M, Informatica/Ab Initio a plus
• Test-driven development. Continuous Integration/ Development (e.g. GIT, Jenkins, Maven)
• AWS cloud platform/services is a plus
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
• BS/BA degree and 3-6 years development experience
• Mastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Adopt agile practice including story refinement, sprint execution, demos and retrospectives
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
