Position Summary:

Brady Corporation is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data and Business Intelligence team. Our team is responsible for design, build, and support of data pipelines from multiple applications and sources to facilitate data analytics needs. We partner with Sales Marketing, Finance, and Operations business users and data scientists to help develop data driven insights and make data driven decisions. The data engineer will have the opportunity to work with various data and BI tools and technologies, such as SQL Server, Google Big Query, Azure Data Lake, Informatica, etc.

The ideal candidate will be analytical, creative, and a business-focused problem solver who is passionate about working with data and building data analytical solutions that address business needs.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop SQL and ETL data pipelines to integrate and transform data from multiple sources into useful, consistent and easily consumable data elements.
• Design and update foundational business tables in order to simplify analysis across the entire company.
• Design and develop reports, databoards, and visualizations to present information.
• Write code in at least one programming language and are willing to become effective in others as needed.
• Understand data warehouse concepts, dimensional data models, and architectures.
• Work collaboratively within an Agile team to meet delivery commitments.

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent field
• 3+ years of experience as a data engineer or software developer
• Strong SQL, ETL, or programming skills (e.g. Python, .NET, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills
