The Georgia-Pacific Enterprise IT Data Delivery Team is seeking a Data Analyst to become a part of the group of professionals utilizing data to deliver results to our business stakeholders. This role will be key in unlocking value in data assets to create and maintain unique offerings for our internal customers across the financial space at GP. In this role, you will work directly with the Financial Business Stakeholders, Operations Team Leads, and IT partners to help define, develop & deliver data analysis across the financial landscape.

As a Data Analyst, you will act as a liaison between the Business and IT and will become an expert in business processes and data environments at GP. The Data Analyst will work with Business Stakeholders to assess opportunities, define key performance indicators (KPI) and identify reporting needs or gaps.

What You Will Do In Your Role

The Data Analyst role will:

• Actively engage with internal business stakeholders to understand and document requirements and partner throughout the process to deliver analysis and reporting solutions
• Lead delivery of analytics & business intelligence solutions including understanding, documenting & validating business requirements and solution design
• Work with the Agile development team to create user stories to solve for desired business outcomes
• Work alongside IT counterparts to solve data-intensive problems using standard analytics & insights frameworks and tools
• Business Intelligence - write and execute SQL queries, reports, and visualizations
• Data Analysis - develop insights through hands on data exploration and problem solving
• Business Process - work with the team to define and document complex business requirements
• Work delivery/ownership - actively participate with a team to develop key initiatives, manage business stakeholders and guide technical delivery
• Prepare presentations both containing business and/or technical topics
• Work with the business to develop test plans, test scenarios, and test case
• Review, analyze and profile disparate data sources and create source to target mappings
• Design creative prototypes and wireframes according to specifications to help the business confirm requirements

The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• At least 3 years of experience as an IT Analyst in a data focused role
• Knowledge in BI, Reporting and Analytics concepts
• Experience working on BI/ Reporting implementations
• Skilled in using database query languages such as SQL
• Experience working with Agile teams
• Experience in QA/Testing/Defect Management
• Understanding of software design and programming principles

What Will Put You Ahead

• Knowledge in Accounting and Finance
• Working knowledge in AWS S3, Athena, Redshift, Lambda, Python, Tableau, or Power BI
• Proven experience with systems modernization and automation that resulted in value creation and streamlining of processes
• Understand of ETL/ELT Framework concepts
