Job Description As part of Assessment & Assurance, the Assessment Onboarding and Integration team is responsible for onboarding the assessment of controls into the Technology Risk Assessment & Control Evaluation (TRACE) programs. The Assessment Onboarding and Integration team acts as a Subject Matter Expert on how control assessments should be conducted and works with Control Domain Authority teams on implementing the necessary steps to increase the scope of controls assessed within the TRACE programs. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in technology risk & controls, assessment experience, and a proven track record in working on complex process and technology projects.
This specific role will report to the Onboarding Delivery lead who will work with Control Domain Authorities, Assessment Program teams, and the Central Assessment team to design, build, and deploy data-driven control assessments to measure firmwide risk and controls. The team member will collaborate with engineering and product members to design and test use cases for data being ingested and will work with end users to ensure the final product being released satisfy our control requirements.
Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deploy core assessment logic working with CALs and CDA leveraging Tableau and SQL; initiate and drive tasks in an agile environment.
  • Generate deep insights through data discovery/analysis of asset and application data understanding control evaluation via a data centric approach for assessment optimization.
  • Design and execute test scripts evaluating large scale datasets leveraging Impala/Hue/SQL
  • Become a SME in the analytics discipline; Identify opportunities to optimize/improve assessments via a data centric approach.
  • Collaborate with risk and control teams to understand control measurement and evaluations


Core Qualifications:

  • Has 3-5 years of general-purpose programming and object oriented programing concept experience
  • Has 3-5 years of Tableau experience, and database management tools such as Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, etc.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL concepts, and other data management concepts, including manipulating large, complex and disparate data sets.
  • Experience with big-data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Impala, etc.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and applying creativity to solve complex problems and investigating correlations
  • Detail oriented self-starter with strong conceptual, analytical, decision making, planning, time management and prioritization skills


Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of technology controls and assessments
  • Experience working and testing APIs using Postman, Swagger
  • Experience with Big Data, Data Science, Python, R
  • Experience working in Jira/Agile Development environments
