The Red Hat IT team is looking for a Curriculum Lead to join our team to design and develop world-class learning experiences in support of the enterprise data literacy program and other data-related training needs. In this role, you will help us design online and instructor-led training, covering a large range of topics related to data and analytics. Training topics may include: reading and interpreting visual data, data ethics, artificial intelligence, basic statistical courses, and data-informed decision making. You will also help us increase awareness and adoption of these training offerings across the company. To succeed in this role, you need to be passionate about adult learning, interested in or have experience with data and analytics, and be willing to help build a world-class program. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Work with the Data Literacy Program lead and others, to design and develop online and instructor-led learning materials in a highly collaborative environment
  • Create training and resources to support other related initiatives, including development of technical training
  • Contribute to creating awareness of data and analytics initiatives, programs, and training across the company (newsletters, intranet content, emails, etc.)
  • Create graphic assets for training and communications materials
  • Review existing training materials and feedback to identify areas for improvement


Required skills

  • Master's degree in instructional design, human performance, organizational psychology, or other related program
  • 7+ years of experience working through all phases of the instructional design process
  • Proven ability to develop instructionally sound materials through the use of instructional systems design methodology (ADDIE, Dick & Carey, Iterative Design, Kemp, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of current and emerging adult learning theory and how it is put into practice in corporate learning
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline or similar authoring tool
  • Experience with Kirkpatrick's 4 levels of evaluation or Phillips 5 levels of evaluation
  • Good eye for design that enhances comprehension
  • Excellent writing skills including creating new content and editing others work
  • Ability to work with geographically distributed and agile teams
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Fluent written and verbal English


The following will be considered a plus:

  • Experience developing training for a global audience
  • Solid background in mathematics or data and analytics
  • Excellent facilitation skills
