Working together with teams across the company, we focus on strategic planning and analysis, market and industry outlooks, competitive intelligence, mergers and acquisitions and revenue synergies. We are seeking a Competitive Intelligence Analyst to join our team.

The Competitive Intelligence team is responsible for helping the organization make effective decisions about future strategies. This position can be worked remotely from anywhere in the domestic US.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collects macro-economics, market and industry intelligence to support competitive intelligence, portfolio analysis, strategic initiatives, and to identify opportunities and/or threats to Collins
  • Provides in-depth qualitative and quantitative research, market assessments and individual company analysis to support strategy decisions
  • Synthesize relevant information needed for high-level decision making, and succinctly communicates research findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Collins Platform Database, including working with the SBUs for content updates.
  • Develops and contributes to the constant improvement of research processes, tools, templates and models, including design of related dashboards, spreadsheets and outputs, to ensure effective management of data integrity, access, record and analysis for market and business intelligence
  • Performs ad-hoc detailed analysis from management or executive leadership on various competitor topics to evaluate the impact to Collins
  • Adjust to shifting priorities, stringent deadlines, and last-minute requirements to accomplish tasks within non-negotiable corporate deadlines
  • Exercise creativity and innovation to frame and structure research efforts
  • Stays abreast of industry or business trends via customers, competitors, suppliers and professional organizations



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR, in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with SQL or Tableau



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven analytical and research experience with the ability to work in complex database demonstrating an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards for research quality and analysis
  • Ability to quickly develop proficiency in new information sources
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and build relationships across the organization at all levels
