Job Description This position is primarily responsible for gathering, interpreting, and managing reporting requirements for external regulatory (FRB, OCC, etc.). The position will be responsible for the relationship with line of business partners to understand and document requirements for external information. You will interact with the line of business requester, the applicable operational representatives and various project team members (Data Stewards, MIS and IT) in order to create and analyze external reports within Home Lending. Additionally, the individual will be required to understand the Home Lending business as well as regulatory requirements in order to effectively evaluate and analyze the data included in the reports in relation to the business results and other externally reported information.
Specific responsibilities:

  • Liaise closely with the internal 14M production reporting team
  • Comfortable analyzing large data sets and conducting root cause analysis to understand and remediate reporting anomalies
  • Responsible for detailed documentation of Requirements/Requirement interpretation
  • Conduct data research to triage issues, identify root cause and recommend solutions to fix data defects
  • Work with other teams (IT, Data Stewards & Risk etc.) to identify data issues and improve data quality for CCAR files and to effectively update logic during system conversions / decommissions as well as new acquisitions
  • Preparation of various reporting metrics for inclusion in presentations to Steering Committee and Management


Specific skills:

  • Ability to use advanced analytical methods and tools to validate the results for accuracy
  • Able to properly document source to target mappings, process flows, and business requirements. Solid facilitation skills to gather the necessary information to document and/or develop a plan - strategic/tactical
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are critical
  • Previous programming experience on Oracle and/or MS SQL Server is required - or related technologies that encapsulate SQL
  • Serve as a process expert for a defined functional area, which includes:
    1. Managing key data sources & inputs
    2. Planning and ensuring implementation of end state automation activities
    3. Providing guidance on the design, development, and implementation of automated processes


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or related area
  • 4+ years of Business Analysis, Process Improvement, or Project Management Experience
  • 4+ years of Mortgage/Banking/finance analytical support experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodology or project life cycle, which includes all phases from discovery/analysis through implementation
  • Strong background in SQL and/or Oracle environments is highly desired - (use of tools like Toad & SQL plus are preferred)
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Technology background (programming and/or tech writer)
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and advanced data manipulation functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, ODBC, VBA) is preferred
  • Works collaboratively in an ever-changing business environment
  • Strong judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, proactive and results-oriented
  • Proficiency in Word, and Power Point (required) #LI-Hybrid
