Job Description A suitable Business Intelligence developer will be responsible for developing and supporting end to end BI solutions in Client Intelligence team at JP Morgan. Must have excellent understanding of Data warehouse principles and hands on experience on working with ETL tools like Informatica at least one reporting platform from Qlik Sense, Tableau or Cognos.
The role offers opportunity to interact and support needs of our large user base in NA region, perform application modernizations, work on end to end BI stack including dashboarding.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain business intelligence solutions that caters our evolving userbase, this includes data warehouse, ETL, self-service reporting.
  • Provide technical support client users, internal employees and production management team on rota basis for North America region (Involves work outside office hours).
  • Understand reporting Data models, create insightful and engaging reports using multiple reporting platforms within our ecosystem.
  • Understand reporting systems architecture, load balancing, user access controls
  • Manage utilities that controls job scheduling, report distributions. Monitor data loads and perform alerting as needed.
  • Liaise with DBA, IT Change control, Infrastructure team, application teams to maintain our service levels.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of application on server for optimal performance
  • Create and maintain documentation associated with the applications, reverse engineer business critical applications to document the existing functionalities and transformation logic.


Skills required to be considered for this role:

  • 5+ years of software development experience with excellent understanding of Data warehouse principles
  • 3+ Experience with at least one reporting tools (Qlik Sense/Cognos/Tableau)


Preferred:

  • Expert in writing and debugging SQL Queries
  • 3+ year experience and hands on proficiency in the following tools/skill sets are a must: Informatica, Oracle and UNIX scripting, delivering high quality solutions.
  • Have a working understanding of visual analytics best practices, development, Processes and knowledge of typical BI & Analytics tools and technologies.
  • SDLC lifecycle experience leading development efforts within data warehouse environment with complex dataflow and data integration from multiple sources with different integration strategies (push vs pull, file vs database, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable with data warehouse concepts such as: SCDs, star schema, hierarchy, aggregation.
  • Proficiency in reverse engineering, any transformation logic within a Reporting application / ETL / Oracle PL-SQL / UNIX script etc
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and work effectively within complex IT environment containing onshore/offshore model, multiple development and testing environments, sharing of environment with multiple teams, load balancing and disaster recovery setup.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the followings would be a plus: Autosys and star schema-based reporting
  • Agile methodologies - Jira, Kanban, Scrum
  • Ability to perform data analysis and troubleshoot data integrity issues
  • Able to communicate effectively with other team members and business
