This role uses data engineering and business intelligence to provide operational insights for call center metrics by designing, developing, implementing, testing, and deploying data in a systematic method to business leaders and individual contributors, as well as the monitoring and maintaining the deployed data delivery systems. This role designs schemas, writes SQL, R, Python, DAX, M Code, or other data markup scripting to build data models and BI reporting to drive KPIs in call centers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Power BI reports and Dashboards including data set ingestion and transformation, Data Modeling, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) using the appropriate report templates depicting status of key performance indicators (KPIs) and other important business metrics for an organization to make data driven decisions for the call centers we support
  • Design, develop, implement, and run data solutions that improve data efficiency, reliability, and quality, and are performant by design
  • Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards for the call center, created from potentially multiple data sources
  • Compile business intelligence/trends to support actionable recommendations to call center leadership
  • Works with less structured, more complex issues with minimal guidance
  • This role is Remote Nationwide (may have option to travel a couple of times a year for team meetings but this would be voluntary)

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree (or higher) OR 2+ years of experience in Business Intelligence Software (e.g., Power BI or Tableau)
  • 2+ years of experience in DAX, M Code, Python, R, VBA, JSON
  • 2+ years of experience in report writing and telling the story with data - mining data for relevant information, data visualization and presentation
  • 2+ years of ETL tool experience such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, Talend, etc
  • Advanced level proficiency in SQL/SSMS


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert level proficiency in SQL/SSMS
  • 1+ years of experience administrating Snowflake
  • 2+ years of experience in a DWaaS environment
  • 5+ years of experience in DAX, M Code, Python, R, VBA, JSON
  • 5+ years of experience developing in Power BI
  • 2+ years of experience working with a workforce management tool (e.g., NICE IEX, Aspect, Verint, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience working in or with Workforce Management and/or in a call center environment

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada / New York City residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
