Evernorth / Evicore is seeking a highly motivated and innovative team member for its fastest growing Polychronic and Post-Acute Care (PAC) programs. This individual is expected to have a background in medical, financial data or actuarial analysis with extensive experience of building data structures and coding in and using SQL server DBMS and/or other similar database management tools to provide advanced analytics . In this role, the candidate will be assisting in the design, development, analysis and reporting of membership and claims data using business intelligence tools, statistical and analytical techniques to better understand healthcare trends, report on the programs results as well as identify opportunities to improve/automate processes. The individual is expected to be an expert in Microsoft Excel and Access to utilize the latest tools to develop automated reporting and tools to assist advanced analytics.

Primary Responsibilities:

This opportunity focuses heavily on data manipulation, trend analysis, reverse engineering issues within data, and using tools to publish quality data and reporting to drive real time business decisions. This position requires combining business acumen with technical and analytical skills to perform day to day tasks.

  • Support the cross functional and strategic planning as it pertains to powering the end to end technology stack for Evernorth businesses, with a specific focus in extracting data and analytics from applications/systems within the technology stack that can provide actionable customer/client insights that will enable the business to make data driven decisions
  • Provides expert content/professional leadership on complex Data Measurement & Reporting assignments/projects. Drive business critical initiates/projects from start to finish, ensuring there is buy in from senior leadership and an understanding of the outcomes, value, and usage
  • Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives quickly to market. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders.
  • Engage with the business, technology, and other key stakeholders to stay informed, nurturing strong and trusting relationships and increasing business knowledge to represent product vision, strategy, and customer/business needs
  • Understand, gather, review, analyze, validate, evaluate, and story map business processes/systems and user requirements in coordination with the business, technology, and software engineering
  • Work with the business product owners of the technology within the business enablement team to help translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including, but not limited to, business value and expected outcomes/acceptance criteria.
  • Help identify organizational impediments and work with team members and leadership to create effective strategies to overcome them.
  • Work in an agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refine priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.
  • Provide counsel and advice to top management/stakeholders on significant matters, often requiring coordination between different teams and organizations.
  • Effectively communicate the products team's goals and accomplishments to peers and leadership showing the value the product is bringing to the business



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or health management preferred
  • 5+ years' work experience with direct responsibility for data analysis and management, relational databases, and reporting preferred.
  • Hands on experience with strong database querying skills utilizing SQL Server, TOAD, Hadoop, Python, HUE, SAS (EG) or Teradata required.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Excel, LOOKER, Tableau, COGNOS, ServiceNow or SCORE.
  • Ability to work comfortably with all levels of management including senior level leaders
  • Proven ability to navigate in an ambiguous environment and effectively problem solve
  • Ability to understand complicated concepts and break them down into easy to understand and meaningful information.
  • Project management skills and demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in strategic planning, project management, process automation and business applications
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to compile and analyze information, and provide resolutions or recommendations for improving operational processes.
  • Experience with Agile Methodology/Practices a plus



This role is Flex/WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $90,500 - $150,800, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
