Associate Manager, Commercial Strategy & Analysis - Life Sciences Position Summary:
As Sr. Analyst focused within the Life Sciences business, you will be part of a team supporting strategic analysis of new product opportunities, aiding in developing and launching new products, seeking external innovation and partnerships that advance our business, and supporting business development and partnership activities. These are critical activities to support expanding our life science partnerships and business and bring the utility of genomics to millions of people. The ideal candidate will be highly proactive, organized, able to work collaboratively and have strong attention to detail. They will apply their analytical skills to as well as utilize strong verbal and listening skills, presentation skills, teaming, facilitation, mental agility and relationship-building to move strategic analysis and external partnerships forward. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable delivering against metrics, have a deep passion for increasing the value of genomics, and love creating win-win deals, this is the role for you.
Associate Manager, Commercial Strategy & Analysis (Life Sciences) you will:
- Support assessment of new business opportunities, including potential to create new products or services.
- Identify external partnerships that support or enable new products or services, particularly as related to analytical capabilities such as data platforms, RWE opportunities, etc.
- Execute analysis on potential customers to understand where to focus our commercial efforts
- Provide project management support to launch newly created products or services
- Support negotiations of external partnerships and business development activities
- Aid in commercial operations including reporting, generating performance dashboards, pipeline tracking, and other tools for lead management, etc.
- Work closely across Helix colleagues to ensure successful onboarding and market launch
Qualifications:
- Mission-oriented, with a deep passion for improving people’s lives through DNA
- 2-4 years of experience in the life science industry supporting commercial partnerships, product launches or R&D innovation activities; preferably also exposure to RWE/analytical products and clinical trial processes.
- Strong business sense and service-delivery mindset
- Personal confidence, proactive approach to work and enthusiasm
- Ability to change priorities quickly and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done; thrives in a high-growth environment
- Ability to work effectively both as an individual and as part of a close-knit team
- Strong oral and written English communication capabilities, presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong interpersonal and influencing capabilities
- Good understanding of finance
- Willingness to contribute in a variety of ways, even if outside formal responsibilities, combined with the ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- BA or BS required; with strong preference in a scientific major.
