Team Overview

The Monetization Strategy team drives global revenue growth across Salesforce products. We work closely with product managers, sales strategy, product marketing, and other partners to craft, build, and refine quantitative models tuned to deliver revenue-driving opportunities and recommendations. We succeed by integrating these models into existing business processes through close partnerships with our partners.

What You Will Do

  • Work through all stages of the model development lifecycle: defining the business problem, capturing and structuring data, building and testing statistical, quantitative, and predictive models, and presenting recommendations and business impact to partners
  • Proactively progress monetization initiatives through all phases - from formulation, to modeling, to evaluation, and to deployment of data science/model features to production
  • Partner closely with our business stakeholders to understand and support their strategic goals, operational processes, and critical metrics
  • Acquiring, analyzing, and structuring large amounts of data to provide key business insights across disparate sources of data (Oracle, Hive, Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Kafka, AWS, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Design and build self-service dashboards and tools tuned to drive revenue impact
  • Document processes, use cases, and requirements in a way that can be understood by technical and business stakeholders
  • Understand and use existing business processes to help increase awareness and relevancy of recommendations
  • Communicate your findings and recommendations clearly and concisely with business stakeholders
  • Continuously improve on existing processes, automate existing analyses, define standard methodologies, and provide thought leadership around monetization initiatives



Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, or other relevant field
  • 3+ years of analytics experience including applied techniques in exploratory analysis and predictive modeling using Python/R
  • Deep understanding of statistical analysis (e.g. hypothesis testing, regressions) and predictive modeling.
  • Expert in SQL and BI/Visualizations (Tableau, Einstein Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience with manipulating massive-scale structured and unstructured data.
  • Thrives in ambiguity and can adopt quickly in a rapidly-changing environment
  • Ability to distill relevant problems, algorithms, and constraints from interactions with internal partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to think strategically and operate effectively with executive management
  • Innovative approach with an eagerness to learn
