DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work on maintenance and development of business applications including the SAP Sales and Distribution and Logistics Execution (SD/LE) Module for Order-to-Bill (OTB) processes.
  • Work with business leadership and users to identify, define and integrate demand for new projects.
  • Work with medium to large sized projects and be responsible for all phases of the system development life-cycle process.
  • Perform standard configuration and custom changes to business systems.
  • Utilize familiarity with SAP Master Data, Sales Contracts and Agreements, Sales Order Fulfillment, Pricing, Taxes, Availability Check, Shipping and Transportation Management, Billing Processing, Credit Management, Message Outputs, Customer EDI, Interfaces and Reporting.
  • Work with the SAP SD module integration points with the Materials Management (MM) and the Financials and Controlling (FICO) modules.
  • Provide ongoing run and maintain support consisting of the installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of business applications.
  • Support the delivery/execution of the SAP SD/LE module.
  • Develop and execute a 1 - 3 year strategic plan for OTB processes and business systems.
  • Recommend and implement improvements and industry best practices for OTB business processes.
  • Work on projects following a defined project methodology to define project scope and objectives; develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; conduct project meetings and provide project tracking and analysis; coordinate project cutover and go-live.
  • Work on stakeholder, vendor and contracted resource relationships.
  • Drive solutions related to business improvement opportunities.
  • Engage business teams at all levels of leadership to successfully implement system solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members and review/approve their work product.
  • Provide functional (subject matter) expertise with regards to content, processes, and procedures with business systems suited for meeting the current and future needs of business units.
  • Facilitate design sessions to review and/or configure new systems and features.
  • Create functional specifications for configuration, reports, data conversions, forms and interfaces.
  • Test and assist in the development and execution of unit, string, integration and user acceptance test plans to ensure proper operation and no defects.
  • Ensure training materials and user skills are current and coordinates necessary user training.
  • Monitor, track, and coordinate the identification, prioritization, and resolution of application support requests.
  • Resolves issues related to the design, development, and support of mission-critical business processes. Contribute to problem resolution by giving in-person, hands-on support.
  • Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems.
  • Review, test and approve software updates.



EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Requirements: Masters degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in SAP configuration experience with the Sales and Distribution and Logistics Execution (SD/LE) modules integration with other SAP modules, implementing or enhancing custom EDI/IDoc transaction and SAPScripts for outputs, with at least 3 full life cycle SAP implementations.
  • Alternative Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in SAP configuration experience with the Sales and Distribution and Logistics Execution (SD/LE) modules integration with other SAP modules, implementing or enhancing custom EDI/IDoc transaction and SAPScripts for outputs, with at least 3 full life cycle SAP implementations.
